Laser-grade spruce pine wood sheet, 5mm thick

This type of solid timber sheet is made by re-sawing thicker sheets that have already undergone full drying to prevent any warping during the drying process. The resulting sheets are meticulously sanded to the desired thickness, making them an ideal choice for laser cutting.

These thin wood sheets are perfect for laser cutting and typical uses include box making, jewellery making, furniture restoration, model making, marquetry, luthiery, intarsia and many more design, woodworking and craft hobbies. Thin wood boards can be used for steam bending and curved laminations.

As the wood is unfinished it is ready for any finish you wish to apply, such as varnish, stain or paint. It is supplied ready sanded with a perfect smooth surface.

As wood is a natural material the grain and colour will vary from sheet to sheet. As the wood is planed very thin please bear in mind that although every effort is made for the sheets to remain as flat as possible, changing temperatures and humidity levels can cause slight warping/ bends in the wood. These features are normal and due to it being a natural material, it is not a fault with the product.
